We are proud to highlight 2CRSi, a French global technology group and a key industrial partner in the HIGHER project. Listed on Euronext Growth Paris, 2CRSi is a world-class player in high-performance and high-efficiency server technology.
The 2CRSi Group designs, manufactures, and delivers end-to-end, energy-efficient computing solutions across a wide range of markets, including cloud computing, data centers, high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence, rugged and embedded systems, and edge computing, among others. Operating through multiple companies and brands, 2CRSi provides tailor-made solutions adapted to diverse industry needs.
As a strong advocate of European digital sovereignty, 2CRSi is actively involved in several collaborative projects funded by the EU and France to design and develop sovereign IT solutions, based on open hardware specifications.
Role in the Project
Within the HIGHER project, 2CRSi leads the Server Mechanics and Integration activities and contributes to project requirements and specifications, particularly in relation to Open Compute Project (OCP) chassis and rack design considerations.
2CRSi is responsible for the design of the mechanical components of the server chassis and the prototyping of an OCP-compliant server. This server will integrate the modules developed within the project alongside commercial off-the-shelf components. By adhering to OCP modularity standards, the resulting system will enable flexible configuration and integration of processor modules based on functional and performance requirements, facilitating deployment across both cloud and edge infrastructures.
As part of this work, the servers will be assembled, powered up, and brought to operational readiness before undergoing functional verification in subsequent testing activities. These efforts will culminate in the delivery of key project milestones, including the initial mechanics of the integrated server and the final fully integrated server.
2CRSi’s contributions are further strengthened by its membership in the Open Compute Project (OCP) and its active involvement in the OCP community since 2018. The company actively participates in several OCP project groups, including Rack & Power, Advanced Cooling, HPC, Server, and Storage, ensuring that HIGHER developments are fully aligned with state-of-the-art open hardware standards.
